Esin Afşar
She was born in Bari-Italy as the daughter of a diplomat father. Her father Nüzhet Sinanoğlu was at the same time a research writer who wrote a book on Italian Fascism with the support of Mustafa Kemal. Esin Afşar lost his beloved father at the age of three. During her school years in Ankara College she prepared for the piano examinations and took opera lessons from Madam Hidalgo and Madam Böhm. She entered the State Theatre as a pianist and got on the stage with the encouragement of Muhsin Ertuğrul. For twelve years she continued her professional acting life in various plays. In those years she married another stage actor, Kerim Afşar and the couple had a daughter. Then while playing in a musical, she got an offer from Erkan Özerman to return to music and began to sing in various languages in Ankara Bulvar Palas. When working with Ruhi Su, she met folk music and won recognition with her songs all around the country.
