Umuda Ezgi
Umuda Ezgi (Melody for Hope) The folk music band was founded in 1989 by Yavuz Bingöl and Nihat Aydın in İzmir. The previous name of the band was Atmacalar and they had already won recognition with their album “Gün Işımış” in 1990. After changing their name, they released the album “Örgütlemişler Baharı” in 1991. This followed with two subsequent albums, "Ateş Dağları Sarmış" (1993) and "Onların Türküsü" (1995). After Yavuz Bingöl broke apart from the band to continue his solo projects, their last album "Savrulma Düşlerim" (Don’t Scatter, My Dreams) was released with the label of Ada Music in 2000. Umuda Ezgi has been imprinted in the minds of many people as the representative of an original and qualified folk music style. They resolutely carry on their music career with new projects.  ...
