Hristos Hatzopulos
Hristos Hatzopulos Christo (Hristos) was born and brought up in Evrenköy (Evrenos) in the Thrace Region. Evrenköy is a town in which Turkish and Greek communities lived together in peace before the population exchange. Hatzopulas’ idea to found a group of Turkish and Greek musicians and perform his compositions takes its source from this rich and creative microcosmos he grew in. Then he came to Istanbul to produce his album “Trakyamın Canşarkıları” (My Thracian Songlife) released in 2008 with the label of Ada Music. He worked with many musicians such as Vassiliki Papageorgiou, Hüsnü Şenlendirici, Pandelis Tallasionos and the musicians of the band Bosphorus. He dedicated the album to his beloved Thrace, a land of fraternatiy between peoples. ...
