Sesimizi Yükseltiyoruz (We are Raising Our Voice) No time to lose! Closing the 1990’s in which myriad analyses were made and numerous arguments were put forward about the pop and rock explosion, a new and original music of the metropolis is emerging in Turkey. The days of panel discussions organized around the question “Is there rock in Turkey?” were finally left behind. Now everybody knows that music does not emanate from discussions, but is directly produced. In the 1990’s many rock bands emerged in the pursuit of creating new things in Turkey in the name of an original rock music distant from synthetic claims. We wish that this compilation may serve as a guide for the adventure of rock music in the Turkey of the 90’s.
