Müşfik Kenter
One of the most important stage actors in Turkey, Müşfik Kenter, was born in 1932 in Istanbul. His acting career began in 1947 in Ankara State Conservatory, Children’s theatre. He completed his theatre education in Ankara State Conservatory in 1955. His professional life began with the play “Oğuz Ata” in the State Theatre. Departing from the state theatre in 1959 he went to Istanbul to perform with her actress sister Yıldız Kenter and the renowned stage actor Muhsin Ertuğrul. In 1960 he came together with Şükran Güngör, Yıldız Kenter and Kamuran Yüce to found the theatre company Site Theatre. After this company is closed, he founded the theatre company Kent Oyuncuları with his sister and her husband Şükran Güngör in 1962. Alongside acting Müşfik Kenter brought to life many characters with his distinctive tone of voice.
