Yıldız Kenter The renowned stage and cinema actress Yıldız Kenter was born in Istanbul in 1928. After graduating from Ankara State Conservatory, she received the Rockefeller scholarship to study acting in American Theatre Winng, Neighbourhood Play House and Actor’s Studio respectively.  On her return to Turkey she founded the theatre company Kent Oyuncuları with his brother Müşfik Kenter and her husband Şükran Güngör. In 1962 she was selected “the Woman of the Year” for her contributions to the art of drama in Turkey. She received the Altın Portakal award for three times for her performance in the silver screen. She performed theatre in Turkish and English in various countries including the Soviet Union, the U.S.A., England, Germany, Denmark and so on. During her career of thirty seven years, besides acting she also raised many actors and actresses. Up till now she has acted in more than a hundred plays and she is actively carrying on her act.....
