Burcu Tatlıses was born in İstanbul, as a daughter of a Thessaloniki rooted family, started her professional music career in 2002, as a lyricist. She got involved in tens of albums, with more than 50 songs, which were given to strong names like Funda Arar, Fatih Erkoç, Zuhal Olcay, Yıldız Usmonova, Mustafa Ceceli, Ziynet Sali, moreover scores of series "Bir İstanbul Masalı", "Zerda" and "Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki", and again scores of movies "Müthiş Bir Film" and "Eski Sevgili". She produced many hit songs such as "Alagül", "Seni Severdim", "Yak Gel" and "Senden Öğrendim". Before releasing her first EP, Burcu Tatlıses introduced her poetry book entitled "Sen Dur Ben Gölge". 

 

The album "Güzel Kokuyorum" was released in March 2015 and it was the first time people met the composer and singer Burcu Tatlıses in addition to the lyricist one. It succeeded to be among the best of that year's albums, attracting the attention of music authorities and the audience, with prominent songs "Ay", "Bir Sana Bir De Bana", "Gündelik", "Beni Öldürür", "Bir Tek Seni Sevdim", which all have been performed by Burcu's still, calm, impressive voice with very strong lyrics.

 

In January 2018, "Geyikli Masallar" single has been released via Ada Music, available on all digital platforms.

 

In second collaboration with Ada Music Record Company, eight-song album called "Uzaklar" was launched by Burcu Tatlıses in November 2018. The artist wrote all the lyrics, composed all the songs and for the first time showed herself with arranger skills in this album, performing with valuable and experienced musicians.
