He was born in Elazığ, Turkey, in 1982. He graduated from Elazığ State Conservatory. He completed the Jazz School certificate program in Bahcesehir University, İstanbul. He took lessons from Mahmut Bolkar Öztekin, Güldeniz Ekmen, Şenova Ülker, Erkan Oğur and Baki Duyarlar. In addition to the classical style ney playing, he is working on different musical styles. He is inspired by Niyazi Sayın, Aka Gündüz Kutbay, Ercan Irmak, Erkan Oğur, Bülent Ortaçgil, Rahmi Oruç Güvenç and Chet Baker.
