Started studying violin at the age of 5 at the Istanbul State Conservatory. She has BA and MA degrees in Psychological Counseling from the Istanbul University. Concurrently, she studied Classical Voice and Opera at the Istanbul State Conservatory. After her graduation she studied jazz vocal and theory. Currently, she is running creative music workshops in which she uses the healing and transforming power of music.

Akan is working on the new music projects as a composer, lyricist, singer and bass guitarist. Her albums ‘Istanbul’un İzleri’ (2013); ‘Golden Heart’ (2016); ‘Parçalar’ (EP-2017); 'Suya Yazdım' (Single-2019)
