Emre Tankal

Emre Tankal was born in Istanbul in 1978. Heʼs been involved with music since his high school years. The musician worked with such names as Aydın Esen, Donovan Mixon, Dave Allen, Sarp Maden and Kurt Rosenwinkel; and performed in many jazz festivals and jazz clubs in the last decade. He made the arrangements of some of the songs in Jehan Barburʼs album titled W"ke Up and Birsen Tezerʼs album titled Second World, and particip)ted in their recording. In 2016, Emre Tankal graduated from the Masterʼs Program in Jazz at Bahçeşehir University. He continues to make music professionally as an arranger and musician in Istanbul. Since 2017, he reaches audiences under the name the Emre Tankal Quartet with his own compositions.
