BIOGRAPHY

Yusuf Gül

Born in Çayırova, Sivas Yusuf Gül moved in Ankara in 1969 and completed his primary, secondary and high school education there. Because his father Hasan Gül was a local minstrel, music has long been an inherent part of his life and he took great encouragement from his father whom he called “my master”.

Gül’s music education outside home began in 1984 in Musa Eroğlu  Music Centre. There he met with the famous Yurttan Sesler Chorus and entered the youth chorus exam. He passed the exam arranged by TRT Ankara Radio with success in 1986 and proceeded his music education in this chorus for five years. In 1991 he entered the adult chorus as a soloist.

In the same year Gül took part in the album (in the casette form) “Telden Dile 1” with other musician friends. And in 1993 he founded “Telden Dile Music Centre” to transfer his musical experience to the youth.  His first solo album “Yine Gönlüm Hoş Değil” was released in the same year with the label of Ada Music. He subsequently released the albums  “Telden Dile 2" (1996), "Bir Ömüre Türkü" (1997)¸ "Sevdanla Çıktım Yola" (2001), "Yalancı Bahar - Üzülme" (2005) and ‘’Yalan’’ (2008).

He gave many concerts at home and abroad, and undertook musical directorship in the studio recordings of both his own and other musicians’ albums.

Yusuf Gül is still living in Ankara pursuing his musical journey.
