Hümeyra
Hümeyra who is a lyricist, composer, singer, actress, shortly a woman of many talents, produced many records, albums and took part in many films, plays and musicals. In 1968 Hümeyra was working in the Melodi music company as a grapher designing the record covers. One day thinking that everybody finished up the work she took her guitar and began to play one of her compositions. As luck would have it, everybody was gone except one important figure of the company. Then he knocked her door asking who was perfoming the song. Humeyra bashfully said it was her. The other day preparations for her first record got started. After this full-fledged story of “discovery,” the long and fruitful career of Hümeyra begins. Her album “Beyhude” (In Vain) was released in 1997 under the title of Ada Music. Then her old 45’s records are compiled under the series of the History of Turkish Pop by the company in 2008.  She is actively carrying on her career in .....
