Grup Çığ
Grup Çığ The band was founded in 1994 by Oğuz Aksaç and  Mustafa Özarslan in Ankara. In spite of occasional changes in the cadre, they proceeded on their way in folk music blending it with different musical forms such as rock, jazz and blues. Their first album “Çığ Türküleri” (The Çığ Ballads) was released in 1998, followed with the second one “Yayla Çiçeği” (The Mountain Flower) in 2000. When the founding member Oğuz Aksaç departed in 2005 the band underwent a big change. The band brought a new perspective about the possibilities of Turkish folk music and succeeded in endearing this new tone to many people, especially the youth. At the moment the band is proceeding on its way with Mustafa Özarslan....
