Onur Akın
Onur Akın He was born in Van as the sixth and the last child of a teacher father and a housewife mother. He then went to Istanbul to study Journalism and Public Relations in Istanbul University. During his university years he founded Grup Baran with his friends. Their first album “Yediveren” was released in 1989. Akın won great recognition with his unforgettable composition of the famous poem of Vedat Türkali, “Bekle Bizi İstanbul” (Wait for Us, Istanbul), which many musicians performed in subsequent years. After the second album of the group “Kuytudaki Başak” was released, Akın has continued his music career with solo albums. He has produced seven solo albums until now. His album “Aşk Bize Küstü” was released with the label of Ada Music....
