Serap Tamay
Serap Tamay Born in Ankara, after giving up her Physics education in Ege University Tamay entered the Turkish Classical Music department of Ege University State Conservatory. Completing her music education in 1993, she joined the music band Günberi and performed mostly ethno-Latin, rebetiko and Balkan songs. In 1998 she performed three songs in the album “Sevgi Yaşamın Temeli” (Love, the Pillar of Life). She took part in various long lasting TV and radio programmes between the years 1990-2011. Giving many concerts throughout the country since 1990, Tamay met her listeners with her first solo album “Canım Terkeyledi Beni” (My Dear Left Me Behind) which was released in 2003 with the label of Ada Music. Her second solo album “Ben Sana Yarim Dedim” (I Called You My Love) has also been released with the label of Ada Music in 2011. Tamay actively carries on her music career both as a musician and a teacher.  ...
