Murathan Mungan
One of the master writers-poets in Turkey Murathan Mungan was born in Istanbul. His childhood and early youth passed in Mardin. He went to Ankara to study Theatre in Ankara University, Faculty of Letters. He had his master degree from the same department. Then he worked as a dramaturgist in Ankara State Theatre and Istanbul City Theatres. He wrote for various magazines and worked as an editor in a few newspapers. Since 1988 he has written plays, poems, lyrics, critical essays, novels and short stories. His lyrics were vocalized by many musicians and groups. This compiled album consisting of Murathan Mungan’s lyrics has been released in 2005 with the label of Ada Music. The lyrics included in the album have been vocalized by successful musicians such as Şebnem Ferah, Hümeyra, Sezen Aksu, Candan Erçetin, Rashid, Cem Karaca, Ayten Alpman, Deniz Türkali, Teoman, Ajda Pekkan, Müslüm Gürses, Göksel, etc.  ...
