Serdar Kemal
Born in Istanbul, Serdar Kemal began his musical education by taking baglama lessons from the virtuoso Erdal Erazincan in 1993 with the support of his father who is also a folk musician himself.  Entering the Liberal Arts department of the Turkish Music Conservatory of Istanbul Technical University in 1997, Kemal began to give baglama lessons in various places. During his years in the conservatory he took part in many concerts with his baglama. He also gave many recitals and concerts both at home and abroad in order to promote and endear Turkish folk music. Improving the tapping technique in baglama, Serdar Kemal played for the albums and in concerts of many musicians. He also took part in the orchestra of the play “Bedrettin” written and directed by Mehmet Akan and put on the stage by State Theatre in 2004–05. The music producer of the play was Timur Selçuk and Serdar Kemal also worked with him for the soundtrack of the play.   K.....
