Ezginin Günlüğü (The Diary of Ezgi) The band was founded by Emin İgüs, Hakan Yılmaz, Şebnem Ünal, Vedat Verter and Nadir Göktürk in 1982, a time when the effects of the 1980 coup d’etat were still being intensely felt.They won recognition in a short time with their distinctive style and their adaptations from the poems of famous Turkish and world poets such as Nazım Hikmet, Shakespeare, Ritsos, A. Kadir, Mevlana, Kavafis, Paul Valéry, Orhan Veli. Their repertory also included traditional folk music.   The first studio album of the band, “Seni Düşünmek” (To Think of You) was released in 1985. After Tanju Duru and Cüney Duru joined the band that followed with other albums; Sabah Türküsü’ (Morning Ballad), “Alagözlü Yar” (Hazel Eyed Love), “Bahçedeki Sandal” (The Board in the Garden) were released in the eighties and “Ölüdeniz&rdq.....
